CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

GENERAL MANAGER

The General Manager plays a critical role in the day to day administration of Theatre503, the effective planning and delivery of projects and productions, as well as supporting the senior leadership in the development of our business. They are responsible for making Theatre503 a safe and welcoming space for audiences and artists alike, as well as striving for best practice venue and project management in all matters. They will play a leading part in realising our long term goal of making our organisation fully accessible. The role will also provide a critical function in supporting the transformation of Theatre503 as a business.

A diverse audience begins with who is telling the stories. We are committed to ensuring new voices can be heard. This must also be reflected within Theatre503’s own team and we are actively committed to widening access to the industry for individuals from underrepresented groups.

If you would like an informal conversation about the role please contact Andrew Shepherd, Executive Director by emailing andrew@theatre503.com or call 0207 978 7040.

If you are interested in being part of 503’s future please read our General Manager Pack in full before applying.

To apply please send an outline of why you think this role is right for you, and how your experience reflects the specification of the role. As a learning theatre, we also expect there to be gaps in knowledge and experience which we would hope to support you to develop during your time with us.

We’d like you to apply for this role in a way that feels most comfortable for you. Your application can be in the form of a PDF letter/email or video (.mov, .mp4) or audio submission (.wav, mp3). Please can you also include your CV along with our Equality Monitoring Form and send to roles@theatre503.com.

The deadline for applications for the role is 12 noon, Monday 28th May 2021. Interviews will take place later the following week, with the role ideally starting as soon as possible. Download our General Manager Pack  here.

Please note that due to an administrative oversight, we are extending the deadline for the role from its original 3 May date as it didn’t get posted beyond Theatre503’s own communication channels, so we are giving more time to ensure it is seen more widely.
