Theatre503 plays a vital role in launching the most exciting theatrical voices of tomorrow. We have nurtured modern classics such as The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and Rotterdam by Jon Brittain – both Olivier Award winners – and classics in the making like Yasmin Joseph’s J’Ouvert, winner of the 2020 James Tait Black Prize, and Ross Willis’ Wolfie, winner of the 2020 Writers Guild Award for Best New Play. Theatre503 alumni have written for The Crown, Succession, Doctor Who, Killing Eve and Normal People.
Become A Patron of Theatre503 to help get the next generation of talented, inexperienced writers in front of an audience at the very start of their writing career.
“Theatre503’s unwavering support and belief in me as an artist over the last two years from the initial meeting to the full production of Wolfie has meant the world to me. All that matters to an emerging playwright is a production as that’s how we learn and Theatre503 have this at the very centre of their core. They do more for new writers than most buildings do with ten times the resources and in a theatre industry which seems to be increasingly harder for new talent to be heard we desperately need Theatre503. Please support them!”
Ross Willis – 503Five Writer-in-Residence, writer of Wolfie
Winner of Best New Play, Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards 2020
