We are beyond excited to launch our first-ever Young Company! An opportunity for new, young talent to cultivate their artistic skill set, the initiative is aimed at young people aged 16 – 25 based in Wandsworth.

What is the Young Company?
Our Young Company is a completely free and practical opportunity for young people who live or work in Wandsworth to develop their creative skills as a group, with particular focus on playwriting! The group will be limited to a maximum of 16 participants, and over the course of 9 weeks, you will learn new playwriting skills, gain experience performing, craft unique stories, and see the inner workings of London theatre – whilst also building a creative community together!

All sessions happen in person and will be led by our brilliant facilitator Omar Bynon as well as guest facilitators who are all working professionals in the theatre industry. At the end of the 9 weeks you’ll have the opportunity to bring the new short plays you create through the sessions to life as part of a sharing for friends and family.

Application deadline: 24th August, 6pm.

Criteria – Age 16-25, Wandsworth-based.
Weekly on Thursdays, at the 503Studio (SW11 7EA) 5.30 – 7.30pm.
Sessions take place on: 8th Oct, 15th Oct, 22nd Oct, 5th Nov, 12th Nov, 19th Nov, 26th Nov, 3rd Dec, 10th Dec

Led by Omar Bynon, a London-based writer, poet, actor, and workshop facilitator. Omar graduated from RADA in 2020 and has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court Theatre, and the Arcola Theatre. He is currently on tour performing in Blue Mist.
