Casting Opportunity – Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho (On Tour)

“We are recasting one of the parts in Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho for performances on the 5th-7th and 21st-22nd May at the Brighton Fringe, and the 12th-17th May at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival.

The role is that of her backing dancer Hessell who also doubles up as a dozen or so other characters including a slimy Tory MP, Dame Jill Knight, a school boy, a banker, a soldier and Gandalf. We’re looking for a male actor in his early to late twenties of an athletic build, with a talent for voices, accents and characters, an ability to sing and dance, and who is comfortable with spending the majority of May in hot pants and a fake moustache.

It’s a really fun show, we got a bunch of five star reviews last time we performed it at Theatre503 in December and we are also going to Latitude in July and the Edinburgh Fringe in August, the actor cast for the performances in May will have first refusal for the part for these future performances.

If you would like to know more please send your details to and we’ll get back to you with more information. It will be cast at the end of the week, auditions will be held around your availability on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and rehearsals would begin next week in South London.

Please do share with anyone you think would be good for the role, and I look forward to hearing from people.”

*Please note, applications sent directly to Theatre503 will not be considered.
