Violet is starting to forget, but she’s got a long life to remember before she does. There are rights to wrong and ends to tie up; a life well lived is never neat. Generations younger, Bertie is at the beginning with no idea what lies ahead. She’s looking for something to point her in the right direction.

Violet is a story in which two souls from different worlds offer one another a new chance – at life and at laughter. Old age and the pains that come with it do not make one invisible; rather, with a bit of effort and a lot of kindness, a wealth of stories are there to be shared… even if some are repeated a few times.

Following a run at Zoo this August in Edinburgh, award-winning company Poor Michelle return to London with their much loved show, Violet.

Poor Michelle produce new plays that reconsider clichéd or under-explored narratives. We want to give Michelles of this world some of Beyoncé’s stage time.
