Strict routine, sudden outbursts of anger and Little Mix on repeat; sometimes the world outside Grace’s bedroom can be all too much.

Enter a world where not everything is as it seems. At just three weeks old Grace was diagnosed with Encephalitis (a rare inflammation of the brain) and all is about to change.

This is a heartfelt, honest story, of Grace’s life after Encephalitis and the effects it has on her family.

Supported by The Encephalitis Society.

Annie Eves

‘Tracing Grace’ is Annie’s debut play. Growing up with a sister who has suffered from Encephalitis, Annie decided she wanted to write a piece to spread the word. OffTheWallCo was founded by Annie two years ago with a group of actors training at ALRA. The company first showed ‘Tracing Grace’ at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before taking it on to York and The Menier Gallery (London Bridge). Their next stop, after Theatre503, is The West Yorkshire Playhouse.
