The night is young.
The world is ending.
The relationship is exploding.
Publicly, Flora and Nic are the perfect couple. Privately, they haven’t spoken to each other in weeks. As the glaciers melt and rain begins to fall, they’ve got one night to settle the scores. One of them is going to crack.
The Bearpit interrogates what we tell ourselves to be true versus the reality raging beneath the surface.
The Bearpit comes to Theatre503 following a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and will play in a double-bill with Milly Thomas’ Brutal Cessation.
Kopfkino is the collaboration between Flora Marston and Nic McQuillan. We tell stories about what it means to be part of our generation, and the juxtapositions of living in a polarised society. Our work is inherently autobiographical.
Flora trained at the Royal Conservatoire Scotland, where she was mentored by the late Adrian Howells. She was a Chichester Festival Theatre Young Playwright, and has been commissioned by The Campsite and Grace Gibson. She has also been supported by The Jerwood Foundation and Somewhereto_.
Nic Trained at the Oxford School of Drama. As an actor he has performed at The Tobacco Factory, Soho Theatre and The Cockpit. As a writer his work has been performed at The Arts Theatre, The Wardrobe and The Space.
