Theatre503 and Cartoons At Night present
Initially drawn together by a shared affliction whereby the heart is damaged by emotional pain, a young couple wrestles with their fading relationship which could literally end in heartbreak.
Chrono-Meta-Cardio-Fragility – An ultra-rare condition in which emotional pain causes cardiovascular damage. There are only two people in the world who suffer from it: and they’re in love with each other. Or at least they were. Now, they’re on the verge of breaking up. And it could kill them. SEAHORSE takes a heartfelt and high-stakes look at relationships, pain, and love, chronicling a couple’s fight to keep their relationship alive despite knowing that it’s time to let it die.
Cartoons at Night consists of Hana Jarrah, Taiyo Yoshida, and Daniel J. Whitehorn. Hana Jarrah is an Arab-British theatre director, drama teacher, and LAMDA examinations coach. She facilitates community drama sessions at Southbank Centre and runs multiple youth theatre programs in South London. One of her students recently told her she’d never be pretty or cool but she doesn’t let it get to her. SEAHORSE is the debut play by writing team Taiyo Yoshida & Daniel J. Whitehorn.

Taiyo Yoshida & Daniel J. Whitehorn
We’re a culturally confused writing partnership based in London. Taiyo is half-Northern Irish, half-Japanese while Daniel is South African and British. After meeting at London Film School, we decided to become playwrights. Our stories often make the familiar weird and the weird familiar as a way to explore the world with insight and humour.
