Anne knows these stories inside and out. She crafts her own elaborate romantasy daydream where she is kidnapped by Dragomir, a dangerously powerful, ridiculously attractive fae, and is conscripted into battle against the Wraiths. It’s absurd. It’s dramatic. And it’s easier than facing the chronic pain consuming her real life.
Anne’s symptoms worsen, and her best friend Lena urges her to seek medical help. Dismissed by doctors, Anne escapes deeper into fantasy where things with Dragomir are heating up. Only when Lena forces her back to reality does Anne confront the truth: she has Endometriosis.
Of Fire and Flame, a one woman show, is a parody of the romantasy genre that explores the allure of escapism: why we crave it, when we need it, and the moments we must let it go to confront reality head-on.
Lily Edwards is an actor and improviser based in London. In 2024, she performed with Andrew Doherty in his sold out Soho Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe show, Gay Witch Sex Cult. Lily is a regular performer with the Free Association, Plinky Plonky, and Five Note Guys. ‘A treasure to watch’ (Edinburgh Reviews).

Emma Zetterberg
Emma Zetterberg is a writer and producer, who received their MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch. Their short play ‘9.5' was a winner of the 2022 Theatre Masters' Take Ten Festival and was published by Samuel French/Concord Theatricals. Other short plays have been performed at NYU’s Bespoke Play Festival, The Festival of Short Works, and The Baron’s Court Theatre.
Emma was selected to participate in the 2023 Athena Film Festival Writers’ Lab with the sports-drama pilot, The Third Period, which was also a finalist for a writing fellowship with AMC Networks.
In 2024, Emma won a Sloan Prize and received an additional honorable mention from the Sloan Grand Jury for the screenplay, The Light in Your Eyes. The same year, their rom-com There in Spirit was also a finalist for The Fusion Film Festival.
