A Theatre503 Production
‘Meow meow meow meow meow meow’
Kat lives at home with her ultra-religious mother and stepfather, saying grace before dinner, working a dead-end job and dodging questions about why she’s not married yet. But when Kat escapes to her room, she puts on her whiskers, her paws and her tail, and becomes herself.
kat is a funny and remarkably relatable tale of identity, furries and religion, and a startling examination of the defences we deploy to protect ourselves from the evil of others.

Over a 3 week period the plays are written, selected, cast, rehearsed and staged. By watching a preview performance between Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 March 2027, you can submit a response piece for RWR. Check out how to access discounted tickets for our Writer’s Nights below. You can find further information on RWR here.
Thursday 4 and Friday 5 March 2027 7.30pm DISCOUNTED PREVIEWS FOR WRITERS: A chance for writers to enjoy a discounted ticket and meet our literary department and the writer of the show.
