Jasmine Thien, The Project People and Theatre503 present...
Please note the Saturday Matinee performance will be taking place at The 503Studio NOT at Theatre503.
‘You’re fighting for equal rights or some shit: I’m still fighting for the right to exist’.
As she stares down this medical decision that will change her life, Sophie comes face-to-face with what brought her here: over-zealous parents looking for a cure, over-zealous religious figures looking for a miracle, an over-zealous young woman looking for the best sex of her life.
Can Sophie claim her own agency in this emotional roller coaster that blurs the lines between past and present?
An unexpectedly hilarious and deeply human celebration of marginalised bodies and the innate need to fight against a world that reminds you every day you shouldn’t exist.
Shortlisted for The Popcorn Writing Award 2025.
Created and performed by Jasmine Thien; a fully blind writer, poet and comedian.
Directed by Max Percy (Baklâ, This Is Not A Show About Hong Kong).
