Peej Productions and Panos Kandunias present...
Charlie’s sick of his iPhone. His best friend never replies, his mum nags him and everyone else’s life looks better than his own. Sick of scrolling, for his 27th birthday, he’s buying an old-school flip phone. No more five-hour screen time days. That’ll fix everything… won’t it?
I Bought a Flip Phone’ is a hilarious, heartfelt dive into digital burnout, raunchy texts from men, and the feeling of waiting for your life to start. Join Charlie for an hour of hilarity and honesty as he searches for connection and some peace of mind.
PANOS & PEEJ are new collaborators (and now friends following one month in Edinburgh together) who care about telling stories that harness connection, interrogate what it means to be human, explore mental health topics, spark joy and laughter all whilst being unapologetically queer.
PJ CUNNINGHAM (she/they) is a Creative Producer focused on community, collaboration, queer and neurodivergent storytelling. They are currently the Associate Producer of Oldham Coliseum Theatre. Recent credits include ‘Golden Time & Other Behavioural Management Strategies’ (HOME MCR, Roundhouse, Pleasance Edinburgh Fringe ★★★★ The Guardian) and their event trilogy POP UP! championing North West artists working in musical theatre and pop music supported by PRS Foundation’s Early Career Promoter Fund and Lowry.
