“I remember thinking, if this is what adult life is like then bring it on!… It’s not.” Stephanie’s life is a little ridiculous and a lot awkward. Decibels is a new one-woman, touching comedy exploring how we deal with loss.
Stephanie, a twentysomething who has just moved to the city for a fresh start. She takes us through the disaster that is her life so far – drunken sex, awkward waxes, the list goes on. Now’s her chance to become a new woman with her own place and a cure for her box-set addiction. But something still feels like it’s missing and it’s not just a boyfriend. A touching comedy exploring how we deal with loss.
Elaine developed the piece while training at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since the 15 minute version was born at Guildhall, Elaine has been fortunate enough to take the show on quite a journey of development. The Edinburgh Fringe will mark Decibel’s full-length debut!
Elaine Fellows
Elaine Fellows is an actress and writer, originally from Southport in the north west. She moved to London in 2012 to train at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has stuck around ever since. Although the course was a training for actors, it was at Guildhall that Elaine realised she also have a passion for writing and comedy. Two years and multiple scripts later, Decibels was born. This is the debut of Elaine’s first full length one woman show.
