Theatre503 Writers’ Programme Course: Developing Character with Sophie Swithinbank

Through Jung’s theory of personality spectrums we will co-create a scenes together, building characters who meet each other in adverse situations. This masterclass will help with scene structure, plot development, as well as character creation. We will share our work out loud, if and when you feel comfortable to do so. The session is open to anyone with an interest in dramatic writing for stage or screen.

This session is part of our In-Person Writers’ Programme Weekend across Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June at what will be the 503Studio at Nine Elms!

The 503Studio will be opening fully in late Spring 2025. Currently, the space is still a work-in-progress and the building is still a ‘shell’, it is carpeted with full power and is wheelchair accessible. You can find out more the 503Studio at Nine Elms here.
