Three Sisters in association with Theatre503 present
RUNNING TIME/NOTICES: 50mins (no interval) / Contains discussion on mental health, consent and race.
Meet Billie. 19, hilariously self-aware and hopelessly naïve. She’s at the age where every single thing she sees and learns causes her to utterly reassess her life. And the largest thing to happen is Amal.
Baby, What Blessings follows the trajectory of a relationship through student years. Darkly comic, the visceral impact of first love, jealousy and joy is sometimes as gutting as physical violence, as Billie learns to hold herself responsible.
After their critically acclaimed Walk Swiftly and With Purpose, Three Sisters return with Siofra Dromgoole’s new play.
Siofra Dromgoole has written three plays; Walk Swiftly and With Purpose (The Space, Drayton Arms, Theatre503, North Wall Art Centre); If It Didn't Matter (St.Edwards/North Wall Art Centre co-commission) and Baby, What Blessings. Walk Swiftly and With Purpose is currently in development with Tiger Aspect. Siofra has taken part in the Royal Court Introduction to Playwriting group and North Wall Art Centre's Catalyst residency. She works part-time in publishing and lives in London.
