503Studio Masterclass: Documenting our Living Histories

Yasmin Joseph leads a masterclass on finding formally inventive ways to reimagine our varied personal and cultural experiences on stage.

Through the lens of her own experience writing her award winning play J’Ouvert, produced at Theatre503 in 2019,  Yasmin will explore how our own experiences can be turned into something meaningful on stage. She will look at what creatively inspires you in everyday life. Through writing exercises, free writing and examples, Yasmin will look at how this can be translated onto stage, and how we can reimagine the everyday into something extraordinary using every tool that theatre allows.

Thanks to DCMS Cultural Recovery Fund and our Share The Drama scheme, we want to make sure those of you who are struggling in the current climate can still take part in our Spring Writers Programme.
