503Studio Masterclass: Go Big or Go Home – Embracing Theatricality

This workshop will look at how to embrace theatricalilty and make your work more ambitious – all without betraying your original artistics intentions or breaking the bank.

As the start of a playwright’s career, we have big ideas and small budgets. Luckily, theatre is the perfect medium for just such a problem. We will experiment with simple theatrical tools and devices that can embrace the live nature of theatre. We’ll learn it’s possible to tell epic stories with nothing more than a chair. We’ll explore past examples of such work and find inpsiration to make our plays even more exciting and engaging.

A perfect workshop for people wishing to challenge themselves and find a way to reinvigorate their work.

Thanks to our Share The Drama scheme, we want to make sure those of you who are struggling in the current climate can still take part in our Writers Programme.
