OUR NEW WORLD-CLASS CENTRE FOR EARLY CAREER PLAYWRIGHTS

We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news that we will be building The 503Studio at Nine Elms – a new 320 square metre, state-of-the art studio space in Nine Elms, Wandsworth which will open its doors by 2027.

The 503Studio at Nine Elms will be:

• A centre of international playwriting excellence for early career playwrights
• An open space for anyone in the local community who wants to tell their story and explore their creativity
• A bridge between our artistic development programmes and our theatre productions staged at our Latchmere home

Our new space is part of the Wandsworth Cultural Plan and we secured it through a competitive tender process, from a panel including the developer Galliard, Wandsworth Borough Council and Royal Mail Group. As well as being able to deliver our outstanding work supporting diverse new voices from all over the world, our new space will also help us embed further into our wonderful community and identify creative talent right on our doorstep.

This is the start of a major transformation project that will help our incredible writers and the artists who bring their words to life to do their best work, including our current Latchmere space being refurbished and becoming accessible with the installation of a lift and levelling our floor.

BY TRAIN: Arrive at Battersea Park and it’s a 20-minute walk to the Studio. Alternatively, you can take buses 344, 156 or
436.
BY BUS: Buses 344, 436 or 156 will bring you to our location. Alight at the stop called ‘Riverlight Quay’.
